Having clear headed vision, I vote that yes, I am confident that FCPS will have the kids back school by the end of January. After the Blackboard failure last spring, getting hacked this summer, and the lack of any real distance learning going on this fall, I believe that the union problems will be solved and FCPS will open this winter.

Tell the schoolboard(non bros) that if they can't meet in person, schools can't reopen. It's too dangerous for the school board to meet AND for schools to reopen. That is something we can all agree on.

TeacherBro makes a great point. If the school board and central office is expecting people stay home, then it is not safe for students and teachers. Brabrand's stupidity telling teachers they need to come back or resign is wrong. Everyone with an underlying health issue--diabetes, heart condition, asthma, over 60, etc or who are caring for vulnerable should get a note from a doctor and request an accommodation. I expect tons of lawsuits if these requests aren't honored. It doesn't look like HR knows what they are doing. Catherin Carroll should lose her job for the way she is treating vulnerable teachers.
