Joey Beard. Anybody remember this South Lakes basketball player who is one of the biggest busts in NCAA history?

He was highly regarded as one of the area's best basketball prospects.

He signed to play for Duke but could not make the starting 5 so then he transferred to Boston U (hardly a basketball powerhouse) and ended up not getting drafted by an NBA team.

So sad.

Played in Europe for a dozen years and now has a pretty decent job stateside.

Yes, it's sad. I have been watching this player for several years and I believe that he has talent and passion for this game, but sometimes people fail to fulfill their dreams and in fact there is nothing terrible about it. For a long time I also dreamed of getting into a local basketball team and I really did everything for this, but I could not cope with the load and pressure and decided that I had to give up this idea. Nevertheless, I love to play basketball and read all the news from the world of basketball all the time. I even stumbled upon cool Sports Quiz and it helps me to relax and have fun.
