Article in Fairfax Times about getting Laborers Employment

Article in the Fairfax Times about getting day laborers jobs thru a mobile app. Yeah, just what we need. Give these new breed illegals work in Fairfax County who aren't even bonded or licensed to do work around your house.
One would have to be an idiot to hire one of these 7-11 street dwelling immigrants to do anything around their house. That would include mowing your lawn, painting, or picking up trash.

Never ever hire them. The article more or less potentially promotes stealing jobs from regular natural born citizens of Virginia who are licensed and bonded here in Fairfax County.
They could easily sue you if they were seriously injured.

I repeat, never ever hire one of these immigrants, as you would be hiring and "open border worker" who shouldn't be in our commonwealth.

If I had the time and energy I'd file a lawsuit against this paper for encouraging illegal activities, and as you said encouraging loss of revenue for tax paying citizens who may be put out as a result.

You are both in need of perspective. As the descendent of a Japanese fisherman who jumped over the side of a boat and swam to shore in SF Bay in 1920 and as someone who works and pays a lot of taxes, I have compassion and understanding for illegal immigrants.

And when I went by the 7-11 in Herndon last year to hire day laborers I found guys willing to work hard for fair rates. Had I gone through a company the price for a lot of hard would have been double, easily.

While I do not encourage making it easy for people to come here, for those who make it, they have a right to put forth effort to make a living and we are better off for it.

Fuck that. You're wrong, and you're part of the problem. Do your own yard work or pay an American of you can't do it.

If you hire one of these laborers who will probably only work for cash and thus will not pay taxes for his time worked, then you are just as bad as the worker. He would not be contributing towards the tax base of FF County.

Actually, we "the tax paying citizens" would be picking up the taxes not paid for these laborers.

As for the company who would charge double for the work, well they have to pay to be licensed and bonded in the county. The cost of being legal has "real expenses" that are built into the price.

If they want to work legal they can apply to Wmart or some other business where society accepts them.
You are setting a bad example to the other citizens of FF County.

Frank R. and I totally agree on this. They are part of the problem.
It is really depressing and miserable that Fairfax Times would print this type of article.

I totally agree with you. I have some questions about Employment contract. I am very afraid of , because I know that there are cases, especially in this sphere that employer didn't pay for work and then people asked for salary, he said that he hadn't to pay anything because there are no document that he sould to pay them. And even law couldn't help them in this situation. That's why before employment I always insist on sign of Employment contract. It is really easy to make, especially when if you have a good template for it. I have found a nice one on https://tracktime24.com/Free-Employment-Contract-Template-Sample. I think that you may use it too

Great way to get COVID. Over 60% of all the cases in our area come from the illegal immigrant community.

The medical bills when the unlicensed illegals get hurt on your property , one wonderful thing about American liberty is illegals can freely sue you to obtain faster rewards then if Kamal gave them amnesty

But WTH liberals are not know for being smart , why else would they vote Democrat ??

It's hit or miss. A friend hired a couple illegals for a very simple fence staining job. You'd think a monkey could cover flat surface with paint using a brush, right? Wrong. The beaners looked and seemed ok before they started but their work was like they were on drugs or something. It was total crap. They didn't get the stain on the entire plank, didn't get the edges, just looked like they didn't want to be working. I think he paid them anyway to avoid having them come back for revenge but he learned a lesson and will never hire the 7-11 day laborers again.
