Problems with replaced windows, what to do?

About 4 years ago I replaced all of my windows.
Recently, one of the windows developed a what appears to be a mold problem between the glass panels.

So having the lifetime warranty, I contact the company that sold it.
Email bounces, company is out of business under one name, but back in business under a different name. Same owner. I emailed the NEW company, yet get no response.

I am estimating that it will cost close to a grand to replace the window, including new window + labor of contractor.

What should I do? Sue the new company? Will they even be liable?

Depends on the contract you signed to do the original work. Would you mind scanning it and posting it here so I can look at it? (Make sure to block out your name and any sensitive information).

Yeah, I can scan it tonight.

By the way, former business had a BBB rating of F.

Probably one of the reasons they changed names.

your not a child. your supposed to know:

1) lifetime warranty ends if company dissapears and plenty of news reports have been on tv warning you they are arranged to dissapear

2) lifetime warranty of Snap-On Tools is a lifetime warranty. you know they will always be around and honor warranty

recovery is difficult for one window. and how wood you get a replacement if they molded modern ones and are no longer made ?

and why did you let your dog lean on the window and slobber on it ? next time don't use steal wool or pry at gaskets

---------------------------
sure they might be liable companies can't dissolve those warranties "optionally" not quickly

pain in the ass to recover why don't you clean the windows ?

It is a common dodge. A lifetime warranty is good for the life of the company, which quite often isn't very long.

Between double pane glass, they inject argon gas due to it's neutral properties. The window pane is removable and can be replaced. Contact one of the numerous glass companies with the glass size. They either have in stock or will order. Remove window pane with frame when glass is available and take to glass company.
Bring home and reinstall.
Don't be so fucking stupid.
Grow some American balls.

It's possible to make the case that even by changing names, but having the same owners, makes you entitled to the "Lifetime Warranty" you paid for.
