BLM Not Withstanding: those cops aren't good for the death penalty

Training should have emphasized restraint, but even without it, restraint would have been advised given the threat level (low). If the DA wants to charge some level of manslaughter, I say good luck.

The Brooks case is NOT remotely close to the George Floyd murder. Whether either cop can be successfully charged with a manslaughter ticket remains to be seen. When a perp ceases to cooperate and turns aggressive, this is when a cop goes on alert. Brooks shouldn't have acted out, but he shouldn't have been killed or shot in the back.

Of a deadly weapon after committing a felony attacking officers not simple resisting . He pointed the weapon at officers as he ran , no passes are available for that, he should have pitched the weapon and then he could run , if they shot him then it would be murder , as it was it was a legal stop of an escaping felon pointing a weapon at police officers.

When victim attornies go to work, they will get more billable hours as a result of any publicity their case may get. The wrinkle in this case is that the case has an international view.

The words of the victims attorney in this case will increase the case outcome expectations of anyone choosing to listen. The more potential Atlanta jurors hear & crave these rosy outcomes, the smaller the pool of potential jurors. Enough of an impact and you will soon hear a venue change request.
