Veridian makes an awesome combo with the holster where when you release the gun from the holster, the laser and light will turn on automatically. The light is blinding and would scare the shit out of any would be attackers, same with the laser.

It only took stories in the Daily Caller, WJLA, Daily Mail, Fox News, Drudge, and Washington Times for the Post to write a story that occured in their own backyard. But even then it was so skeptical of the "alleged" assault that they went right up to the line of accusing this Bronze Star recipient of lying.
