10200 Block of Forest Avenue – On June 28 at 1:29 PM the resident reported that she had received a telephone call from a male subject identifying himself as a lieutenant with the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office. He informed her that there was a warrant for her arrest for missing a jury assignment and she could avoid arrest by purchasing money cards and await a further call from him with additional directions. The resident contacted police and determined that there were no outstanding warrants for her.

10200 Block of Scout Drive – On June 28 at 1:46 PM the resident reported that she had received a telephone call from a male subject identifying himself as a lieutenant with the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office advising her there was a warrant for her arrest for missing jury duty. He advised the resident to obtain money cards and call him back with the numbers. The resident determined that the person the caller claimed to be had not called her and that she was the victim of a fraud attempt, at which point she notified police.

3720 Old Lee Highway / Van Dyck Park – On June 29 at 7:43 AM a citizen reported that unknown person(s) had spray painted graffiti on two of the skateboard ramps in the park.

10600 Block of Ashby Place – On June 29 at 10:06 PM the resident reported that she had received a telephone call from a male subject purporting to be a lieutenant in the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office advising her an arrest warrant had been issued because she had missed a court date and she could resolve the matter by obtaining a money card and providing the number. The resident did not do so and instead notified police who advised her that there was no warrant on file for her.
