This new, inexperienced, narcissistic school board has spent the past 3+ months navel gazing at multiple school board retreats and wasted countless hours in closed meetings discussing the new plan for 1.5 additional personal staff per board member, being paid for at a cost of $1M+ on the taxpayer dime, without any public notice. All the while, the virus was spreading around the world and in our community.

This incompetent group took their eye off the ball at the most critical time. The person most to blame is chairman Corbett Sanders for failure to keep them focused on the most important business, but the entire Board is at fault for not holding her, the superintendent and system staff accountable.

The last thing the school board needs is more staff. They get it the way enough already. Shouldn't they have regular jobs and have this as a civic service. If they know better, let them come into my classroom and teach.

School Board is to blame. They've spent the last 10 years meddling in things like start times, bathroom access, allowing drug offenders in school, and equity all the while the quality of our education was plummeting. When the top forces their subbordinates to take their eyes off the the main priority of education it's not surprising that the ability to educate our students fell behind. FCPS won't improve until there are a majority of school board members who allow the principals to prioritize teaching and learning and not social projects!! Remember that when we start looking for new members in a few years. We are stuck with this board for a while.

Ok. So Let's File a Lawsuit against the Board.

What facts should the Lawsuit state?
What part of the law or constitution did they violate?

Breaking the law and being bad at your job are two different things. Wasn't like they were hideing thier plans. Many of them campaigned on the issues they've pursued in office. If you want to hold someone accountable it's probably the voters.

Earlier today, Fairfax County School Board member Ilryong Moon (D) announced he was quitting the Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC), “effective immediately.” According to his resignation letter:

“…I have been profoundly disappointed with
the decision of FCDC to reject an incumbent who has served as an elected official for 20 years and been a loyal member of the Committee for 25 years. Following much reflection over the last two months, I have concluded that, while I remain a strong Democrat, it is time for me to take a pause from FCDC.”

This is a problem, unfortunately, for a bunch of reasons.

Time to call the "One Fairfax" policy what it is: a failure.

Every school in the county has the talent to fix this mess on their own without outside guidance (interference).

Who is he referring to?
I wouldn’t vote for any incumbents for a while with the way things are.
The Democratic party in Fairfax has lost its way to the Socialist party.
If I could move to Loudoun tomorrow I would!
