Membership to watch movies

What are your thoughts on memberships to movie theatres? Is it just another means of our consumerist society nickel and diming everyone. $10 doesn't sound bad, but then I think about Amazon Prime, Disney +, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, NFL Red Zone, Costco, etc. The "nice to haves" are quickly adding up to equal what you spend on the "need to haves".
