Only cause socialism was already very dominant when nazis came to power. Nazis even have to adopt socialist rhetoric to obtain any relevance. The existence of USSR was also a huge factor in stopping nazis and springing subsequent communist countries. Also, what makes you think people won’t just go with it? Why do you think they would ‘resist’?
