Working for fedgov - possible to do nothing?

Can you really do basically nothing while you're working for the federal govt? What are some things you can do to screen a job and make sure it's not one of the handful where you need to do real work? I am very interested in doing as little as possible at my job so a fed gov job appeals to me.

Be a veteran (with or without a disability) and get an online degree from a fake university like Phoenix, DeVry, or Liberty. Unless it's a position that requires a specific law or medical degree, you will have no problem jumping ahead of dozens of more qualified applicants and getting hired!

As a vet myself I can confirm that you will get your pick of fed jobs and will barely have to raise a finger. Some agencies and departments will be more lax than others. The cushiest are with HUD, GSA and DHS. I know plenty of govies who while away most of their day’s writing novels, working on their side businesses or watching porn all on the tax payer’s dime. The catch is you have to know people. It’s always good to network with people already in the ivory tower as much as possible.
