Reston is now URBAN. That shit doesn't happen in urban environments. If you want your kids to play soccer or to visit Home Depot you need to move to Purcellville or Hamilton.

Reston is NOT URBAN. It is not planned that way.

Nobody wants to live in urban areas! They are full of noise, pollution, rats and filthy. Basically urban = trash areas.

I grew up in Reston. Reston has 14 pools you can go to a member of Reston. 22 Tennis courts and tot lots for kids.

In the summers kids enjoy the various athletic fields and park areas. There are also a lot of wooded areas for kids to play in. I went to the Reston Rhoa Day Camp.

You have your own wooded campfire area and play all sorts of games like baseball and soccer. Lots of wooded hikes. Fishing on the three different lakes. Swimming and tennis lessons on the different RHAO areas.

Today you have to pay to park your car when you go out to lunch or risk having a giant device blocking your windshield so you can't operate the car.

High rises and traffic jams are the norm 16 hours a day. On Reston Pkwy near the Toll Rd there are 5 traffic lights in less than 1000 metres. Oh yeah...it's just parks and campfires and playgrounds as far as the eye can see!!!! You should go back there sometime and get an update.

As stated above, suburban public transit is at best limited. Silver Line does not go everywhere, bus transfers are a headache, nor can carry all your gear, nor want all the crime that it brings. Reston sucks now. Its not just vehicle traffic. They freaking collapsed entire lanes for unused dedicated bicycle lanes that arent used 99.99 percent of the times.

Metro made it worse. Now cars have a reason to drive in and out of Reston just to use metro.

Reston is turning into downtown Bronx, NY

1) You have to pay to park, there is not enough parking

2) Crime rates are starting to skyrocket due to "city crime."

3) Reston traffic is a nightmare. No new roads have been built to accommodate the thousands of new cars for buildings with 500 condos. That's 10,000+ more cars on the roads of Reston in a 5-mile area every day. It's gridlock at rush hour.

4) You can barely breathe from all the toxic car exhausts.

I am from pakistan.
I am a network engineer for Microsoft in reston.
I live across the street from One Loudoun.
I drive rt 7 to fairfax pkwy, about 7 miles.
Most of the drivers I see on the road appear to be from Asia just like this guy thinks.
All of my neighbors are "brown"... no black, no white, just brown!

Looks like I got out of NOVA just in time. I moved to a medium sized southern city where its 1/2 the cost to live, the community is full of people from many backgrounds, races and countries and states, there are large gov't contract employers and many educational institutions. Nearly everyone here is super nice, except the specific nasties who have come in from other not-so-nice areas of the country ie NY, Boston, Cali, Cleveland, Detroit, etc.. Not much snow if any at all, work from home, and there are thousands of things to do especially if you like the outdoors. The locals don't let the globalists and demioncraps take over here, but they have enough of the voter base to get one or two into local gov't leadership positions now and then, and if they don't work out, well, 4 year term limits make it easy to dump them and start again.
