Can Trump be compared to Lincoln as far as winning the people’s vote despite his wealthy conniving political opponents who buy-off their votes?

Trump could more usefully be compared to a sea-slug.

The best more recent analogy to Lincoln would be Woodrow Wilson. Both men owed their elections in part to the divided opposition.

For Trump the better analogies would be Benjamin Harrison or John Quincy Adams. Both those presidents ended up serving only one term.
