Bank Robbed in Fairfax Station area


West Springfield Police District – Police are investigating the robbery of a BB&T Bank around 3 p.m. on Monday, November 21. A man entered the bank at 8920 Village Shops Drive, handed the teller a note, and implied a weapon. The teller handed over cash and the suspect fled.

The suspect is described as white with a stocky build. He was in his 20’s, around 6 feet tall, had sandy blonde hair, and was unshaven. He wore an olive green jacket, a brownish green t-shirt, and dark pants.

A 22-year-old Springfield man has been arrested for the Nov. 21 robbery of a Fairfax Station BB&T Bank. On Nov. 25, Jeffrey B. Koch, of 8741 Pohick Road, was served with an arrest warrant after a tip was given to police in Colonial Heights, Virginia.

On the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 21, a suspect matching Koch's description entered the the BB&T Banks at 8920 Village Shops Drive and handed the teller a note implying that he had a weapon. The suspect, described as a white male in his 20s with a stocky build and sandy blond hair, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Koch is being held in Colonial Heights and extradition to Fairfax County is expected.

His case was sent to Circuit court since it is a felony charge. Felony's are tried in Circuit court. You won't find out his sentencing till the trail in circuit court and circut court records aren't kept online for fairfax county. you will have to call the court house to find this information.
