All I've heard on the news is furloughed government workers visiting local food banks in order to make ends meet. My neighbor whom works for the EPA has been driving uber for the past two weeks. I asked if he was relieved that the government shutdown had ended. He looked at me and said, "hell no I wish they'd keep it closed longer, that I way I can keep double dipping." He explained to me that even though he's not working, once he goes back to work he'll receive back pay for all the days he was on furlough. Not to mention he'll get to keep all of the extra bucks he made doing uber. These assholes are made out to be the victims, when actuality the tax payers are getting raped out the ass. Really had my blood boiling .

Yes, that is correct: they get their full back pay.
Latest word is that they'll get checks this Thursday,
so that they don't have to wait until the next pay cycle.

Of course most of them could not find temp jobs while they
were furloughed. Meanwhile, they still had to pay all their
bills, which is hard if you are living paycheck to paycheck,
and the missed a paycheck.

Those who were forced to work (without getting paid) also had
to pay their bills, including transportation to work, child care,
and so on. They will also get their back pay on Thursday.
But they were screwed the hardest.

That the taxpayer is getting screwed in this scenario is a
given, but then, you were getting screwed pretty much the same,
even when there was no shutdown.

The federal government needs to be slashed. The handouts people are giving them is criminal. Never happened under Obama's 9.9% unemployment when the feds were all working. They are not impacted by the economy like the people they steal from so democrats can drop bombs and murder babies. The only thing this shutdown proved was how bloated the government is. Any of you libtardz wanna bet pelosi and chuck don't try to make any deals now that the doors are %100 open instead of just %80 open? They did say Trump had to end the shut down in order to negotiate. In three weeks we will see who negotiated.
