Rapid Pass Emission Testing

Has anyone used this Rapid Pass Emission Testing at certain locations in Fairfax County? You just drive thru and it samples your car for Emissions.

Is it reliable and how long before you get a PASS Letter?

It is often slow to get the Rapid Pass site update. Also this crap weather we have been having they will not have the equipment out much.

If you are under 3 months for Emission Inspection, visit a local station, otherwise you may run out of time.

I have been screened twice and never even knew it. Looking at my recent documents they show that I was screened on March 15th, and received my notice of such near the end of July. My registration is not due until October. I wonder if I had gone to the service station for an emissions check if it would have shown up in the system or not. Don't know.

My information says the information will be sent to DMV AFTER I pay the $28. Don't know if there is some way the inspector can look it up prior to that or not. Call 844-727-7773 for questions.

I’ve used rapid pass. In not sure how long it took from passing the machine on the highway to logging into their system but I paid the rapid pass bill online then paid DMV for my two year renewal right after payment. They have a website https://www.rapidpassvirginia.com/VaPublic/
