ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Arlington County police have charged a Virginia Hospital Center employee for the rape of a patient.

Police say 30-year-old Roy Anthony Jones of D.C., a CT Scan Technician at Virginia Hospital Center, raped a 37-year-old victim the morning of January 13, 2014.

The victim was at the hospital as a patient when the incident occurred and reported the crime to police following the attack, according to officials.

Jones was denied bond and is currently being held in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

The hospital released a statement saying Jones was suspended immediately after the incident was reported and has since been fired.
