Injured during basic training...

Injured during Navy basic training due to a torn petellar tendon on left knee cap that required surgery and a year or therapy. This happened in 2007. I was medically discharged with an RE3-erroneous. Am I still eligible for disability compensation? I've heard stories of yes I am but just wanted to check with anyone who knows or has had a similar story, thanks

If it was "service Connected" you have a case for something. No retirement or pension, but you should get something.

If you were in less than 180 days you failed to qualify. Get your DD-214 and contact the VA.

The Navy calls it Boot Camp not "Basic Training". Which Navy were you in anyway?
