Mount Vernon District
BURGLARY, 2500 block of Windbreak Drive, 4/23/14, 11:11 a.m. A neighbor reported a suspicious noise. An investigation revealed that someone attempted to enter a home. Nothing was taken. Officers, the helicopter and K-9 units responded to search for the suspect who was not located.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC, Janna Lee Avenue/Richmond Highway, 4/23/14, 11:35 a.m. Police officers responded to assist the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department with a combative individual. James Marshall, 25, of Dumfries, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public and obstruction of justice.

WEAPONS DISCHARGE, 8300 block of Claremont Woods Drive, 4/23/14, 9:32 p.m. Officers responded for a suspicious noise call in the area. Evidence was found that two bullets stuck a nearby home. The case is under investigation.

BURGLARY, 7500 block of Vernon Square Drive, 4/21/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Mason District
ROBBERY, Carol Lane/Holly Hill Drive, 4/23/14, 3:04 p.m. Two teenaged girls were reportedly approached by an unknown teenaged boy who demanded their phones. The girls gave their phones and responded to Falls Church High School to make the report. The girls were not injured. The case is under investigation.

ROBBERY, 7300 block of Little River Turnpike, 4/22/14, 10:34 a.m. An adult woman was entering her vehicle when a man approached from behind. He took her cash and fled. She was not injured. The suspect was described as a man in his 20s wearing a gray sweater.

ROBBERY, 6100 block of Leesburg Pike, 4/20/14, 6:30 p.m. A 26-year-old woman was approached by two young men who presented a knife and demanded her phone. She was not injured. The two juvenile suspects fled. One was apprehended a short distance away by officers. The other was described as white, 15-17 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 140 pounds. The case is still under investigation.

Reston District
BURGLARY, 11900 block of Market Street, 4/21/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

Franconia District
BURGLARY, 7300 block of Loisdale Road, 4/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole property.

SEX OFFENSE, 9600 block of Hagel Circle, 4/19/14, 8:51 p.m. A 16-year-old girl was walking when a man approached from behind and inappropriately touched her. She was not injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 30-40 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds.

West Springfield District
BURGLARY, 10500 block of Burke Lake Road, 4/21/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Fair Oaks District
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 4100 block of Meadow Field Court, 4/22/14. Owners reported someone entered their vehicles and took property. There was no damage to the vehicles.
