Police Make Arrest at Teen Party in Great Falls
Parents can be prosecuted under the law for hosting underage drinking parties.

Police responded to a report of an alcohol overdose at a party in the 10000 block of Akhtamar Drive, Great Falls on Saturday, around 11 p.m.
A 15-year-old girl was transported to the hospital after being found unconscious on a couch in the home. The teen party had allegedly been advertised on social media; there was no guest list and there were approximately 50 teens there. The host, a 48-year-old woman, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police and the Unified Prevention Coalition remind residents that the “Parents Who Host Lose the Most” program is underway in the month of May. The program is dedicated to keeping youth and young adults safe and drug free. With prom and graduation season underway, residents are urged to celebrate safely and legally. Know the laws and facts surrounding Virginia’s underage drinking laws and facts associated with teen drinking.
Parents need to know:
It is illegal for anyone under 21 to drink alcohol.
Under age 24, the brain is still growing and negatively affected by alcohol.
Parents can be prosecuted under the law for hosting underage drinking parties.
It is unsafe and illegal for persons under 21 to drive after consuming alcohol (.02 blood alcohol content or above).
Don’t risk living with the burden of an unnecessary death or accident because you provided or allowed alcohol use by someone under the age of 21.

I agree that everyone should know the law and not believe everything you are told.
Virginia Code § 4.1-200. Exemptions from licensure.
7. Any person who keeps and possesses lawfully acquired alcoholic beverages in his residence for his personal use or that of his family. However, such alcoholic beverages may be served or given to guests in such residence by such person, his family or servants when (i) such guests are 21 years of age or older or are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or spouse who is 21 years of age or older, (ii) the consumption or possession of such alcoholic beverages by family members or such guests occurs only in such residence where the alcoholic beverages are allowed to be served or given pursuant to this subdivision, and (iii) such service or gift is in no way a shift or device to evade the provisions of this title.

I wasn't aware that girls are working in mines in the Great Falls area. Man, has that neighborhood gone downhill.
