In the above post, You're confusing liberals with democrats. The deep south was highly conservative, states rights democrats "Dixiecrats" who abandoned the party primarily in the era between Brown v. Board of Education in the 1950s and Johnson's Civil Rights Act. They became the mainstay of the modern Republican party we know today. Consider Republican presidents Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, and even Reagan...many of their policies would be considered extremely liberal today. My point is, political parties evolve over time.

No confusion. The FDR liberal walked hand-in-hand with those scumbag Dixiecrats im order maintain power and delayed civil rights legislation by about 50 years. Even JFK didn't have the balls to put it forward when the South was burning in the early 60's to keep the voting block. Even look at how many NE and West Coast liberals had kind words for that scumbag racist Robert Byrd when he died. I won't even go into the apologist Al Gore and his racist father. Liberals are as racist as any other group, they just have a better spin campaign these days
