Arrested for car jacking in West Springfield a few days ago and for some reason is out on bail.

Happened last Wednesday night on hidden oaks court near the whole foods. Said he asked the guy for a cigarette and got in the passenger seat and implied he had a gun and the victim fled and called the cops and they got him. Charged with carjacking but out on bail. Must have a good lawyer.

If he is not a flight risk or deemed harmful to the community, then he is out.
Probably because he had no weapon, they let him go until the court date.
I don't think he should be out on bail, but what can you do.
If the victim had been armed, this may have gotten ugly real fast.
Someone saying they have a gun while they actually don't ... the situation fell short of "shooting an unarmed black man" .. which is a good thing.

Whether you have a weapon or not if you imply you do its still armed robbery. You can get 10 years in prison if you rob someone with a fake knife or gun.
