Why do so many lack certification by any accreditation board in the subject that they teach? Why do they make so much less money as a group? It obviously is when a major point of private school for most is to self-select away from the factors lowering those numbers through your "adjustments" to begin with. Smart kids with good parents generally will do well anywhere.
Your exercise in adjustment exists only as an attempt to level the lower end of that curve against that. Furthermore, it only applies to specific test scores (and isn't really even true then btw in many cases) and doesn't take into account a whole range of other aspects of learning and overall school experience.

Private schools are actually hiring the leftovers. What you further mean to say here is that there is no accountability to any outside authority at all in private schools. They do what they want in cutting corners to maximize profit, and the children be damned.

That's false. Not adjusting for socioeconomic factors, etc., generally results in private schools having high-single or double-digit advantages over public schools. That's why such adjustments are made by those attempting to 'level the field' in light of that. Otherwise, the statistical differences are near zero in most all assessments (i.e., there is little to none either way).

Schools vary greatly from one to another though and are not simply segregated into public vs private as you're attempting for your own ideological purposes.
