How come Bob McDonnell or any VA Governor has run for re-election ???

How come they only go on to serve one term in office? Why aren’t they running for another term like in Maryland???

Mills Godwin ran for and won re-election.

If you paid attention in Civics class you would know that the VA Governor only serves one 4 year term and cannot be "re-elected" However they can win a non-consecutive term.
