te the "success plan" is for 2016, not 2018 as it should be

Updated March 31

Fairfax County Executive Ed Long presented his proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget
to the Board of Supervisors on Feb. 14. The proposed General Fund budget is $4.1
0 billion, a $77.2 million (or 1.9 percent) increase over the current FY 2017 bu
dget. If you include other appropriated funds such as federal and state grants,
the total budget is $7.99 billion.

http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/news2/5-things-to-know-county-executive-proposes-4-
10-billion-fy-2018-budget/

(8x what it was?)

---------------------------------------

Throughout 2016, the County has been working with the Virginia Tech School of Pu
blic and International Affairs (SPIA) to identify a set of indicators intended t
o reveal progress on the county s Economic Success Strategic Plan (ESSP).

As mentioned, the Economic Success Strategic Plan lays out six broad goals:
1. Further Diversify Our Economy
2. CreatePlacesWherePeopleWantToBe
3. Improve the Speed, Consistency, and Predictability of the Development Review
Process

5. AchieveEconomicSuccessThroughEducationandSocialEquity

are these democrat students? i would bet.

6. IncreasetheAgilityofCountyGovernment (bull, no such, but bill for?)

actual plan cited, mostly just jibberish, but citing need for more illegals in f
x co

Economic innovation and sustainability - New business starts by sector (THAT'S N
OT A PLAN, it's not even a proper statement in the context)

Education, Housing, Health - Percent of kindergarten students reaching literacy
benchmarks (?? really - how is this a factor in county development strategy ??)

Environment - Air quality (?? there are no factories anywhere near here. how ca
n this be a consideration)

Sound financial decisions - Assessed value of land to tax (of that i have no dou
bt)

(this "strategic plan" get's an F. IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE NOT DISCLOSING ANYTH
ING, EXCEPTING DEVELOPMENT PLANS LIKE HOUSING TO HOLD ILLEGALS THAT JUST APPEAR
ON THE MAP - many don't even know how many of which are county planned)

it goes on ...

* "Dulles is International and still has flights" (albeit mostly gov workers)

* we have control of "FCPS" (8 billion - likely their only plan is to spend this
in a highly partisan democrat-success style)

* we run busses

* we Study expansion

* bike lanes and free bikes (in particular areas)

* PROMISING A WATER SLIDE AMUSEMENT PARK USING COUNTY MONEY - IN VERY PARTICULAR
AREAS

* DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVANCING HOUSING BLUEPRINT $1
0 million (compare that to 8 billion and educating illegals kids immigrant haven
, and quickly you should see 10 million IS A LIE)

* build condos near shopping centers for the aging. ?? really? that's not what
reston town center looks like - and the town center has no aging pop.

(says %50 are for elderly, but i'd say %95 are built by illegals to house illegals, at huge taxpayer expense, for purpose of adding more Democrat votes to insure Republicans don't win and begin suing them for all the illegal crap they are pulling)

* road widening planning (BUT NOT DONE)

* infrastructure is the governor's job

* form ULI TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PANEL MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ANNANDALE - a bu
nch of political brats who's suggestions i could care less about

-----------------------------------

off topic but for 2015-2016 how much did fx co spend on illegals and housing the
m ? it was allot more than $10 million you can be sure of that.

-------------------------------

BUILDING DELIVERED BY FX CO GOV

BUILDINGS DELIVERED:
The Adaire, a 34-story residential building associated with Spring Hill Stat
ion;
The Nouvelle, a 27-story residential building associated with Arbor Row;
1775 Tysons Boulevard, a 17-story office building associated with Tysons II;
The Haden buildings, two residential towers associated with Scotts Run South
; and
The 14-story MITRE 4 office building.

however note the county did not design nor does it own these, apparently the cou
nty is lying to the public (MITRE is a fed contractor, not a fx co office)

* we retain AAA bond rating.

* widen route 7 (using illegal labor, VDOT does it fx co 'gov' likely has 0 todo
with the funding)

* Food Trucks Now Legal in Select VDOT Right of Ways in Tysons

* allot of democrat "planning committees" created (very european, it's why europ
e has no exports and is broke)

** they didn't mention spending on web / media, but they certainly did it

NO THEY NO LONGER DO. some bonds are, but several bonds sold are not. one can
guess allot of spending on illegals and no business but "federal gov" business a
nd it's offshoots: and quickly which bonds pay will be reduced

next, the "plan" devolves into theoretical organization of planning (total crap)

further "planning" shows 2016 Lines of Business (LOBs)

this is is and old printout of some of the many fx co "agencies" - 390 offices - which is not a complete list of 2016's fx co gov democrat "planning" offices

CORRECTION: FY 2018 is 8 billion

(not fcps 2018). FCPS proposed is well over 2 billion. only 1/2 of this budges is from the State, the other half is BORROWED, ostensibly

this is very loose since fx co will certainly not do anything they say will (they will do what democrats do) and are using old documents (see above)

the fx co audit is "signed by KPMG", a UK pay for play auditor who signed DHS documents

(DHS is nearly HALF of VA's and other States federal return spending (the other half health care) - provides just armed guards - in democrat areas they are usually armed illegals who can hardly speak english. KPMG signed off on DHS federal agency for using DHS employees to provide Microsoft with free programmers, funneling money. DHS was created by / signed during Democrat Clinton presidency)

Democrats are only posting a financial history since they took over (2007, though really 1998 Clinton), they are hiding financial documents made by republicans to compare them to

2007 budget: 245,353,105 (245 MILLION versus 8 billion)

the increase is DOUBLE

One year ago a number of us worked very hard to convince a majority of Fairfax County voters that those who opposed the meals tax were not a bunch of antigovernment antitax nuts, and that there were sound reasons to reject the tax proposal. Thank you very much for undoing our work.

Jeez, it's almost like FCPS supports and serves education to tens of thousands of students in Fairfax.

I am floored every year when this comes up again. It was incredibly short sided, and close to stupid, to have rejected a funding source that would have been at least partially provided by non-county residents. Now we pay for the whole thing. Huge mistake that will never be reversed.

That is where you are sooooo wrong. It would have just given the Board more leeway in asking for money. That $92 million from the meals tax would have just become a slush fund for ear marks and pet projects. Also, even the BOS is a brake on the FCPS spending because they ultimately control the purse strings for the free spending Board.

OP is speaking of FCPS and applying figures from the total county budget?

The County budget looks like this:

Fairfax County Executive Ed Long presented his proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget to the Board of Supervisors on Feb. 14. The proposed General Fund budget is $4.10 billion, a $77.2 million (or 1.9 percent) increase over the current FY 2017 budget. If you include other appropriated funds such as federal and state grants, the total budget is $7.99 billion.

The school budget looks like this:

The Fairfax County School Board has adopted the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) FY 2018 Approved Budget of $2.8 billion

$42,000 per student

$15,090 Paul VI HS

Wow, twice the education for a third of the price.

It takes a lot of money to fund the progressive agenda^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^B^Bprojects of the board members.

They need to use FLE to brainwash kids in their agendas, that takes money.

They need to cover their time and efforts to cover their activism toward national policies.

They need to pay for helping transgender kids to transition (and money to hide this from the parents).

They need to pay for renaming schools to politically charged names like "Justice" to promote justice politics.

They need to pay for equity policies to funnel money to their favorite groups in schools.

They need to pay for putting more transgender and homosexuality propaganda in school libraries - there are a lot of elementary schools that need them.

They need to pay for more student walkouts that they organize.

They need to pay for contracts they give out for personal kickbacks and favors (like Battelle).

They need to pay for absorbing illegal aliens because we know they are more important than taxpayers, and need shielded from ICE when they commit crimes.
