It's not just restaurants but everything in general. Half the main drag in the city closed for projects that sit currently unbuilt by the developers. Scout on the circle, the old Hooters shopping center act. All the shops are vacant with no sign of building anytime soon.makes it look like a total dump but maybe in 5 more years it will be back to business as usual.

Traffic and parking sucks and if you've had three beers the cops will bust you for drunk in public. Homeless nutjobs wandering the streets and hassling people.

Fairfax City is run by left-wing extremists. They envy Detroit, Baltimore, and other dem-run cities, and are trying to emulate their ghettos.

This is a direct cause of Trump's tax giveaway to the rich. People cannot afford to eat out, so this city is imploding.

Again with this myth? It's already been discussed.
Restaurants have a notoriously bad record of success.

- Green Turtle closed from shitty food and too far from GMU for intended clientele. Brion's and Oh, George are closer.
- Panera, they put one in the campus of GMU and there was already another one across the street from Paul IV.

New restaurants have already replaced old stuff in many spaces and they aren't chains.

- Pampasazone is Argentinian-Colombian food. I dig their empanadas. In the old pizza/burger space next to yoga studio.

- High Side is beer-centric with Taiwanese street food - It's really good, in the old Mozart space

- 21 Great American Bistro. Haven't been but it has good Yelp reviews.
"Wow! Boy is this place a hidden gem in fairfax. This place is a family owned restaurant and the food is above and beyond quality at a price that won't break your wallet."

- Hamrock's. Haven't been, it was 'Choices by Bruce'. Hated that name so I never went.

- French Quarter Brasserie. Used to be Silver Diner concept then GMU classroom.

Still going strong:
Havabite, Wine House, Bollywood Bistro, Caribbean Corner, EastWind, Courtside Thai, Sisters Thai, De Clieu, Hard Times, Bellissimo, Old Fire House

Pobably due to the shitty Mexican workers and meth addicted managers serving cold food with the restrooms reeking of filth. Not to mention the overall stench in these chain restaurants and general slimieness of the table surfaces.

Fairfax City is a hideous disaster. That's what you get when you elect liberal mayors who are more interested in meth and gay orgies than they are in improving a city.

It was one-and-done there for me as well. Ate at Artie's last night. Yum! That's also located in Fairfax City.

Hmmmmmm....
Main Street used to be one way and confused out of towners...

Then they made it 2 way.....

They never adjusted the stoplight at 123&Lee highway so, 123 from sweet life ALL the way to 66 was jammed DAILY.

Got rid of post office to develop an area as of there was a NEED for more places to eat/shop/etc.

Hmmmm.

Remember there was a 24hour Harris teeters the corner of 236&universoty?the car route of ffx city has ALWAYS been convoluted and now it is more CONFUSING.

Was more than just the mayor smoking meth and sucking cocks when they planned this expansion???

There was NO WHERE to park when it was just TT REYNOLDS, the post office and that southern Italian restaurant near suntrust bank area.

Oh and factor in the traffic from the ffx COUNTY courthouse EVERY WEEKDAY!

Fuck you Fairfax City! I HATE what you’ve done!!!

Fairfax City is the bail bond capital of NoVA. Ideal for repeat assholes, aka liberals! Other than that, avoid at all costs.

The food in this area is garbage and if you tell a person from NOVA that they are eating *insert region* food they will believe you 100% and pay premium price for it.

Why the hell are there so many middle eastern restaurants around here...kabob this halal that.

There are excellent locales for all sorts of cuisine in the NoVa area. By complaining, people only mark themselves as unable to afford to dine out much.

I’ve eaten at over 50 restaurants in the past four years. I stick to ANY great American restaurant. I know I’m getting great service. I know I’m getting good food everyone will enjoy. And those fucking round donut breadsssssssss!ozzzzie rollllz!
I even eat breakfast regularly at best buns bakery.
If I want to go out dressed up, I’ll goto carlyle(I live in Lorton).

Mikes is my favorite.

Why can’t these restaurants STUDY why great American keeps opening up new locations that are successful??

There is plenty of FREE PARKING IN Fairfax City

Havabite has been there 40 years. The food is great.
It also has an outdoor patio and free parking

Captain Pell’s is also in the City and is awesome

In downtown, it is very nice at night and during summer they have outdoor events.

FREE PARKING and the restaurants still close????? They are shit restaurants there.
Captain Pells????
We talking bout university drive to 123 motherfucker.
That area.
Shiiiiit...why don’t you bring up red lobster then too?

The development that took over the post office lot has shitty restaurants that keep going outta bizness. The huge library they built is just another L@mb Center!
Too much meth and cock sucking INSTEAD of urban planning.

You chronic masturbator - sit behind your computer screen and continue to play with your self -

The layout is not great where both locations were - Panera’s are usuaually in and out like you like it -

The Asian place, Bollywood and the wine place have done fine.

The other places in downtown have done well - especially Havabite who has been there since 78. And before then another place there since 50s.

Now get back in your crib, fool.
