RT.1 closure, major backup?

does anyone know if RT.1 is sill backed up? it was 6:30pm when i got home and still was backed up. i didnt see the accident but seemed like Fairfax Co. created a detour to GW parkway.

Channel Five news just reported that it is still backed up. Poor people who have not made it home to the ones they love. Let them travel safely.

What caused the back up? Let's see.......poor light timing, idiots driving 25 in a 45 zone, idiots sitting at green lights texting, idiots talking on the phone that think by driving 25 it's safe to do so, idiots that stop in travel / turn lanes to talk on the phone, etc, etc, etc.

BTW, it's been 10 years since this back up started and it hasn't cleared up yet
