If so what kind of work do they do? Are they productive members of society or criminals? If they have kids are their kids hard workers or wanna be gang bangers? From my experience they all have been law abiding and hard working.

But now she needs to go back (with her mom who is here legally for work) and it’s kind of fucked up. I have met lots of them, and lived with some.
Most of the ones in the circles I travel in are not what you think of as "criminals" (excepting of course immigration law). However, some of them are petty criminals that you would watch yourself around.
Some of them have also, as young adults, executed sophisticated identity theft schemes for themselves in order to get credentialed to work as federal contractors (for example, a not-particularly skilled Dreamer who is employed to do IT work for the Government). So much for the quality of background checks!
And yes, they all vote.

In 7-11, on buses and metro, on the sides of roads like 236 in Annandale. Most of them are law abiding till it gets dark, plus there smaller then most of US so they wont blind side you in daylight. They will wait till their drunk and that when the trouble starts

Most of the Latinos in my place are from Guatemala. Are some of them illegal? Probably, but they all presented credible documentation for being eligible to work here, so I don't know which ones they would be. I do know that they do good work and have solid work habits. If they didn't, I would let them go.
