School lunch is actually disgusting at FCPS. They should change the menu and make the food less disgusting because we have the right to fight. Join the movement and spread the word! All FCPS students should boycott buying school lunch and petition on what they’d prefer to be served at lunch. We are not pigs therefore we shall not be served slop! About the only thing left is fruit and lettuce.

They should put in those vending machines that deal out sandwiches, microwave chef boyardee, cup o noodles, burritos, and canned juices and gatorades and milks like the ones that you see in the hospital, and call it a day.


Make everything cost a quarter (side salad, small snacks) up to $1 (the tray of nachos). Give each kid a code and $3 of free credit a day, anything past that they have to pay for. Still a nice profit for the schools, no cooking needed just provide a few microwaves.

Shut down the kitchens and let them all bring their own lunch.

The cost of the lunches offered will be doubled to meet the demands of the students.

What a bunch of snowflakes we are raising. When I was in FCPS (70s to early 80s) in HS you got slop of the day , hamburgers or pizza.if not, Moma packed your lunch or you snuck off campus to fast food. In elementary you only got slop of the day or Moma packed your lunch. Every now and then elementary dieticians used to include a piece of celery with a half honkin jar of peanut butter spread on it (my favorite) as part of slop of the day. And we were happy unidenifyable caserole du jour. The purpose of schools is to educate kids , not to provide a "fine dining experience" Shut down the cafeterias,let them all bring lunch from home.

Is this really what you want to say?

Maybe once a week the lunch was edible. Mostly, we ate something from the assortment of junk food or we brought a brown-bag lunch from home. Frankly, I don't remember much eating.
