Clown School will close 2 hour early on Friday

FCPS WILL CLOSE 2 HOURS EARLY ON FRIDAY,AND THEY WILL HAVE A 4 DAY WEEKEND. MUST BE NICE TO WORK AS A TEACHER. I work over 40 hours with my two jobs. must be nice to only wokr 35 hours a week, and only 33 hours this week and 21 hours next. They earn way more than us and they still want a raise. GOD SO HAPPY I VOTED NO FOR THE MEAL TAX

FCPS is closed because it's the end of the quarter AND election time in the State. I remember being off 2 days at the beginning of November when I was in school and it was for the same reasons.
Now, the closing of the schools 2 hours early is something new. I don't ever remember schools closing early.
When I first saw the SUBJECT title for this thread I thought Congress was letting out 2 hours early.

Sometimes the schools close early on Friday so the teachers can get to the liquor stores earlier in the day.

It’s called a teacher workday because WE WORK and are REQUIRED to be at school. And I don’t know any teacher who works 35 hour weeks...that’s horseshit.

I was replying to OP’s insinuation that teaching is a cake job, which it isn’t. I love my job. It’s not great all the time but I’m in it for the kids.
