Carpool in Herndon holding fake charges on credit cards

This has happened to me and multiple people I've known who've gone there. Their bar tab will clear just fine, but then you will get stuck with an additional charge around $25-35 out of nowhere. How does this shit happen? Seriously sketchy place not worth doing business at. Mistakes happen, but considering it happens multiple times is bullshit.

It is the Processing Fee that some restaurants and Bars are beginning to charge. It started in New York 6 months ago, and it is designed to offset the cost to the business to process the credit transaction, and credit card fees charged to the merchant.

That is why it is suggested you pay cash to avoid the fee.

It's not a processing fee, you're getting scammed. Dispute the charge and let your credit card company handle it

I don't think most people going out to have a couple drinks are going to be carrying the amount of cash on them to pay a bill.

I never go around with less than 50 bucks in my pocket.

Same here. No fear being scammed. I also pay for gas with cash. If I get robbed or lose the cash at least I don't have to deal with bunch of bullshit after the fact.

Nothing better than having my antique silver dollar money clip with a dozen crisp bills folded into it.

Flunking report it to your CC company as a fraudulent charge. They will take care of it.
