cal. hispanic news articles a sob story of a poor farm picker: BUT CAN'T FIND ONE
http://latinotimes.org/2017/01/12/for-female-farmworkers-work-never-stops/
* she has a husband
* she has a vehicle
* she has a home
* she has 3 kids - who get schooled also daycared while she works
* their family once survived on only 1 paycheck instead of 2 paychecks
claims she "often" works 50-60 hr. often?
(ok, i've done that a while EVERY WEEK: ask for less hours or don't complain, it's less pay - maybe get fired for asking 4x. 60 hr by the time your home and eat: your past ready for bed and sleep nearly immediately, unless your in super good shape (i was near being hospitalized when i started it, myself))

problem: poverty isn't mentioned in article, and the hardship is contrived
they wrote an article to prove the california picking mexican is treated unfairly but failed to find an example
(in an nearby article noted cal's MIN WAGE is $11 and soon to be $22, but that pickers are paid more than min. wage)
that's several times the better standard of living than pickers in the (80's, early 90's, before Clinton) had if i have to guess
