It takes you about 30 min. with a decent hacksaw. Don't buy one of those Chinese jobs from Sears or Auto Zone. You have to buy a good one. Saw it midway on the arm that holds the round thing that covers the lug nuts. The thing will fall right off.

You'll have to leave town, though, b/c FFXCO is going to want to know what happened to its boot. I didn't know FFXCO used boots.

Ok, I went ahead and did it. I had another OEM wheel and full size tire at home so, I've reinstalled that and I threw the booted wheel and tire in my trunk, drove 15 miles in the opposite direction and threw it away in a commercial dumpster.

Boots I have seen look like they easily could be removed with an angle grinder.

A friend of mine had this happen. He hacksaw-ed it and said there was never a boot on his car. Nothing ever happened.

The burden of proof is on the government. Suppose you didn't notice the boot and drove away and the the boot fell off, then someone else took it away.

All you need a good blade and charged battery. I do this to my sisters car and throwed the whole dam boot through the window of assocation presdent car. Fuck them putting this on cars that are not theres.
