Hi, has anyone noticed on the new health forms there is a box for ADHD?
What does everyone think about this, OK or not OK for them to ask specifically vs. letting a family self-disclose?
What if you don't want to tell the school about the AD

Let me get this straight.. you or your kid is taking speed -- have you ever taken it? ya it's mild meth.. apparently for a mental condition and you are wondering if doctors need to know?
Let me break it down for you why this is fucking relevant
-changes in blood pressure
-depletion of electrolytes
-excitability
-dehydration (if you check that box don't act like you or your kid isn't on speed-- it devastates potassium, zinc and mag levels)
-interactions with other drugs or treatments
-not to mention relevant to chronic health conditions
the doctor needs to know what is up with you. You have to list all conditions, medications or supplements or you may foil your own insurance.
What is the problem with checking this box? they ask about anxiety and depression. don't act like it's protected under some special bullshit.
e'rybody wants to be special.

I hate to break the news to you but if your child has ADHD-
1. It could be very obvious when they are trying to deal with him/her in the classroom.
2. They kind of need to know so that they know how to deal with them in the classroom.
