The only thing restaurants do special is use lots of butter and salt on everything.
I would rather go to costco/BJ's/wegmans/heck even shoppers food, buy 2 large steaks on sale (porterhouse, tbone, ribeye one of the 3) and some veggies, real butter, various seasonings if i don't have it in my pantry already (garlic, sea salt, etc) and a 6 pack of nice beer-
and stay home, cook it in my cast iron skillet or on the grill, and have a REALLY NICE dinner for 2 for around $50 (steaks $25, veggies $8, beers $12)....vs. $50 for ONE plate and 2 beers at a restaurant.
Oh- and i can eat buck naked in my lazy boy if i don't want to be classy and eat at the table and get drunk as shit and no line for the bathroom and no risking a DUI coming home off "2 beers" and my wife is right there to fuck no need to buy drinks for a woman who may/may not put out.
