Annual July 4th fireworks in Beverly Forest Springfield, Va

Thanks to all of those who made the annual Beverly Forest July 4th fireworks show an outstanding success. Mortars, starbursts going as high as 200 feet or more, roman candles, lots of rockets and explosions were used by the Beverly Forest neighborhood residents. Make no mistake, these fireworks are illegal in Fairfax County. We therefore owe a special debt of gratitude to the FCPD officer who did nothing to enforce the silly law and stop the illegal fireworks.
Following the fireworks, some of the teenage participants, without their parent's knowledge, used a flammable liquid to create a fire in the middle of one of the Beverly Forest streets. July 4th doesn't get any better than this: Illegal fireworks and an open fire burning on a residential street to wrap things up for the evening. Unfortunately no one put this spectacle on utube. Well, there's always next year.
