Big House In Fairfax City
Posted by: ox ()

There is a big house in FFX City. You can't miss it. It's across from the Museum, kind of near the shopping center w/ Noodles and Co. and TJMaxx. It has a huge front yard and there used to be cows grazing there many years ago. I see cars parked out in front so I'm pretty sure someone lives there currently.

Anyway, someone said it was for sale. Is that true?

If yes, how much is it?

TIA for your help.

So it is surrounded by $800+ townhouses? What the fuck. Who would spend that much money to live in an F'ing townhouse?

That's the Farr Homeplace, also known as Five Chimneys.

It was built around 1880 by Richard Ratcliffe Farr to replace the one burnt by Union troops after he imprudently shot at them. R. R. Farr went on to be a bigwig in Fairfax county and died in 1892.

AFAIK, it's currently the residence of 92-year-old Ann Farr Lewis, who is R. R. Farr's granddaughter.

The house is owned by a living trust in her name, which probably means that the City of Fairfax is letting her live there rent and tax-free in exchange for getting the house after she dies.

That one home near the intersection of Roberts and 236 was recently for sale. I think that one was also built in the late 1800s.

Is that guy even alive? He was my father's real estate agent in the 1970s. I still remember answering the phone as a kid and trying to write down his name for the message. This was pre-answering machines.

Barron owned a mortgage broker shop called Fairfax mortgage investments in that building where lee highway turns into university or whatever. The office had a dude named chug and Todd and some other scrubs. Dude named john zoul who was an alarm salesman turned mortgage broker....this was circa 2003-2005 during the heyday of refinancing etc. went to a party at his house and there was 50+ year olds doing low quality coke. Things got weird(gay weird)so I left with a sexy ass amazon I dated back then.her name was Christie and she was a processor there. Drove an Audi TT convert. She was so stunning, guys would stutter when they saw her. I was doing Atkins at the time and remember looking into her fridge and falling in love! She ate what I ate-bacon, blocks of cheese, pre-formed hamburgers etc. she towered over me so I could only do spooning sex with her because I was easily 6 inches shorter than her. She was at least 6'2" but BEE YOU TI FULL. Lived off monument near the tower records store off Waple mills.barron would be so jealous bc he was like the main vampire in the coven. I don't think Barron was full gay, but I know he fooled around, using his money like a bloodworm on a hook....I would marry Christie right now if I saw her

That house was once owned by heavy cigarette smoking Judge Rothrock of the Fairfax Co Gen District Ct. He had a brother who also was a Judge.

He died of a heart attack, many moons ago. He also owned that old house on the corner of 236 across from where the "Safeway" was..LOL..Before 1975..!

I used to have pot plants growing in that field. After the guy living in a smaller house on that property got busted selling lots of bud (forgot his name but he worked at economy auto parts) the cops found them.
