A man is dead following a Friday morning burglary at a Springfield shopping center in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Fairfax County police responded to the incident around 2 a.m. in the 7200 block of Commerce Street. They found an injured man and took him to an area hospital, where he later died.
Police say the attack happened in an alley. They are no longer referring to it as a stabbing but are calling it a homicide.
They are unsure how the deceased sustained his wounds.
Around the same time, police were called to a report of a possible burglary at a pet store in the shopping center.
In that incident, officers found a man inside the store with non-life threatening injuries and took him to the hospital.
They believe the two incidents are related and a suspect is in custody.
Police don’t know whether or not the dead man and the suspect knew one another.

Police say both men were patrons of the pool hall. The investigation into what led to the deadly fight continues. More information is expected to be released Friday.

A man is facing murder charges after an argument early this morning in an alley in Springfield Plaza Shopping Center.
It began around 2:09 a.m. when officers were called for a report of a man lying on the ground outside in the 7200 block of Commerce Street in Springfield. An investigation shows the victim, Kieron Hart, 29, of Springfield, had severe injuries to the upper body. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m.
While investigating this incident, officers were notified of a commercial burglary occurring at a nearby pet store in the 6400 block of Springfield Plaza. They responded to that location around 2:30 a.m. and found a man inside the business. Jay Fasick, 30, of Springfield, was taken into custody, and driven to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives believe the two incidents are connected and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the dispute. Preliminarily, the investigation shows after the argument in the alley, Fasick broke into the store. It is unknown at this point if or how the men know one another, and whether Fasick was injured during the argument or the burglary.
More information will be released as it becomes available.

One easy way is to use the search box and search for unique words pertinent to the story and if there are no hits, it would be safe to say you would not be redundant in posting.
Also, if you are a busy person, we all can appreciate that. But if you are too busy to see that you are dividing up information (being divisive)m for the purposes of having a HUGE following, well I don't think many here can appreciate that.
We are busy too and it is not pleasant to have to look through multiple threads on the same story. At the rate you post information, you often create many duplicate headlines within a short amount of time.
