In terms of permits, only two for protests have been issues, both for pro-confederacy groups. There may be some anarchists - not mainstream liberals, but idiot fringe-left asshats - burning flags. But the rest of the stuff in this article is complete bullshit.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but isn't 'leftist anarchist' an oxymoron, i.e., a phrase that is meaningless because it incorporates its own self-cancellation? Leftist implies the subject accepts that they occupy a position someplace among a group that can be arranged in a spectrum of political views. Anarchists do not believe in government, and abstain from participation in politics, since they do not differentiate between leftist and rightist politico-economic arrangements or theories. Anarchists find all forms of government to be oppressive, so it seems to me they can't be assigned a label that uses either leftist or rightist to modify 'anarchist.'
