So, today Bryce received his 9th career ejection after getting beaned and charging the mound. Nine career ejections and...no World Series rings.
Remember when guys would get beaned and just...you know...take their base? I mean, we have national sports media telling us how much better today's pitchers are. They work harder. They eat better. They throw harder and with more control than guys of yore did.
And yet, everytime a batter gets plunked in today's MLB...he must charge the mound. Nobody's grip ever slips...nobody ever makes a mistake because these pitchers are the best. If you got plunked, they meant to do it right? Especially in a game in May...

Would you feel the same way if you had known that Harper had only faced this pitcher TWICE before - in the 2014 playoffs - and hit towering home runs in both plate appearances? And this was the very first pitch since those appearances.
No, not EVERY batter charges the mound every time they get dinged. Sure, some of it is unintentional but other times it's clearly payback of some type. And until the league cracks down sufficiently, one method of punishment is to have to deal with the dude you just plunked front and center.
Good for Harper. To anyone that knew the circumstances, charging the mound was certainly understandable. To all you fags sitting on your couch thinking he didn't have enough championship rings to allow him to make the trip to the mound, well you are on the couch.

It's not a requirement to have won a World Series in order to charge the mound when you get plunked. On the contrary...Bryce Harper walks around like the swinging dick of the entire history of MLB when in fact...he's won nothing. Not one World Series. Nobody owes him a bit of respect. You forgot to check the facts. The video is available numerous places on line. It is painfully obvious to anyone who ever played in even one Little League game that teh SF pitcher threw at Harper. This pitcher has a rep for it, even. He's a real sore loser.

You forgot to check the facts. The video is available numerous places on line. It is painfully obvious to anyone who ever played in even one Little League game that teh SF pitcher threw at Harper. This pitcher has a rep for it, even. He's a real sore loser.

There is a hits batsman in one of every three Major League Baseball games. This claim that everytime a player is hit the mound is charged is hyperbolic nonsense.
