Insurance fraud? That would be my first guess since the building is under construction. Maybe they realized they wouldn't be able to sell, or finish paying to complete the building, so set this up.

If i were college park police/fire dept, that would be the first thing I would look into!!

Who knew? I didn't think everything in College Park COMBINED was worth $39M!
Did Obama invest in that? If so, it was clearly arson! He said "hold my pink lemonade" and lit an old fashioned jerry curl hair curler on fire and threw it into one of the buildings.

No CP police department, just PG County police.

Heard rumors of arson already yesterday. Other businesses on Rt. 1 have been burned by arson in the past decade.

I think arson is unlikely though because real estate is taking off in northern PG County. Appreciation of as much as 30 percent the past three years. This apartment fire is about two blocks from where the new Lidl supermarket is going and three blocks from the Purple Line.
