I know Fairfax High School has Auto Shop, but how many school teacher "SHOP 101? Its time to being back Shop.

The answer is yes they do. If they don't have it available at the local high school transportation is available to schools that do offer it. If one is really interested you can learn almost any trade in FCPS. It's not the school that's stopping kids from taking the courses - it's the snobby parents.

I know enrollment is down in Auto Tech. The new Auto Tech Teacher teachers on blue days at Fairfax and on Gray days at South Lakes....

Shop...is either woodworking shop, metalworking shop or the industrial arts.

I graduated back n 1993. Back when I was in Middle School we took Shop, It was a fun class. like years later they changed the classroom, and they taught dumb ass keyboring classes.

...the elite students in industrial arts could frequently be found making sculptures of art out of scraps.

Instead of shop they should have a class all about how to dig coal or do repetitive robot-like motions all day, since Drumpf is going to bring back all those great mining and assembly line jobs. Enjoy your $9/hour screwing caps on toothpaste tubes, proles, and don't worry--you're not poor, you're just millionaires in temporarily embarrassed circumstances! Keep giving rich folks tax breaks and something good will trickle onto you.

Chantilly Academy has a carpentry program, industrial arts has been gone about 12 years , electrical 15. I think Edison has an hvac program.

I can't believe they don't have Shop class with the amount of Hispanics and Blacks now enrolled. They need it more than ever.
I still have the corner fitting shelf I Made in 8th grade 30 plus years ago.
CO2 cars were fun to make and race, as well.
