leaf removal / yard clean up

I have an average size yard (about 12,000 square feet) in Franklin Farm and an average amount of leaves covering it. Trying to get an idea of how much a couple guys and a leaf sucker truck would run me. I just need the usual fall yard clean up.

Anybody have any idea what the going rate is, and good people to use?

Cleaning your yard yourself is good for the heart, soul and saves a shitload of money.
It's your karma

The dude says he lives in Franklin Farms. Hernandez (a.k.a. Herndon) is much closer.

Figure $10 a bag. Your yard...$200. Good luck finding someone this late in the season as most of them are booked up.

My yard is about the same size and I pay $40. I am a long term client so he would probably charge $60 - $80 for a one time thing. Just look for small hispanic run companies, a lot cheaper than using the bigger name companies.

Just go to Herndon, hire the nearest amigo, contract with him, and then make sure he disapears before you pay him.

Leaf Blowing only: 2 people
$69.00 first 30 mintues
$45.00 30 minute blocks after
+%30 Total charge to remove

Leaf Blowing: 3 People
$69.00 first 15 mintues
$45.00 15 minute blocks after
+%30 Total charge to remove

Leaf Removal: Curb Vac Only
$69.00 first 10 minutes
$5.00 Each Minute after

That's what Mow Cow charges other companies are similar in pricing. Your yard would be about 125.00 just to blow and about 35 to collect. I hear the county is phasing out Plastic Bags next year, so you have to use the paper Bags. Not sure how true, but that's what I hear. Nextdoor.com is a new site and many local people listing services on there. Just a thought.

I'm a Reagan Conservative, I voted for Trump, I've worked continuously since 1983, and I have a compost pile.

I have a half-acre yard, with dozens of tall, mature trees, but I don't need to put any leaves out for the trash. I compost it all.

It's also how I get rid of all my kitchen waste (and grease). Nothing organic ever goes in our trash can.

If you can't rake your leaves you don't deserve to have trees.

Run over them with your lawn mower. I have mulching blades and have never picked up leaves. Free fertilizer.

Grow a dick and rake your own goddam yard. You are weaker than a small child.

Live on 5 acres with a lot of trees.
Used to pay the landscaper to clear and remove the leaves around my property.
They ended up milking me for a couple hundred bucks 2-3 times each Fall.

Complete waste of money.

Now, I just let all the leaves fall down.
Then I let the winds blow them around for a week or two.
Typically, most of them end up blowing away.

No need to do any work.
No need to pay for something Mother Nature will take care of on her own.
Zero carbon footprint.
All those leaves end up composting in the woods somewhere.

Great that you have five acres of land to let your leaves blow around. Many of us live on less than a 1/4 acre and have neighbors that have trees also. Somebody is going to get screwed in the game if nobody cleans their leaves. They just don't stay on your property and if three of your neighbors leaves blow onto your property you have a mess, and a bunch of dead grass the following spring after the leaves smother the grass all winter. Mother Nature does not work in residential neighborhoods you dumb ass.

Besides Trump, the biggest joke of America is grass. Stupid concept.

I do not recommend craigslist for this...I called and had some urban types (the type that scam old people) come out and want 3 times as much as Mow Cow.

Dude told me that it would take forever and shows up in a pickup with a tarp...SMH

Hire people with the right equipment (vacuum truck) and they will be gone in 20 min.

Get yourself a gas can. It's the same way to remove snow. Sprinkle, light, watch your trouble go away.

Marshall High School is doing a fund raiser, leaf raking. Not sure the cost but $ goes for the athletic department to help defray expenses.

With Obama about $60 and take about 2 hours.

With Trump about $400, take a couple of days and breaks every 15 minutes.
