Shit my Mom is trying to pull on Thanksgiving
Posted by: WTF, Mom? ()

My immediate family is 4. My Mom, my Dad, me and my brother. My extended family includes my wife, 2 kids, my sister in-law, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. We've been a family since my parents were married in 1968 and 1971 when I was born. We've been an extended family since my brother got married in 1998.

The NFL has had games on Thanksgiving since 1920, our family are Redskins fans and there is photographic evidence of BOTH of my parents watching football on Thanksgiving with their families prior to them meeting in the early 1960's.

So, this year my Mom (with the knowledge of WSH @ DAL tomorrow...) announced the following rules for this year's Thanksgiving:

1) There will be no football games on the TV, radio or internet at all tomorrow.
2) All guests will submit their phones to her upon arrival and they will be turned off and returned to their owners upon departure.
3) Discussions of politics or other subjects that result in argumentative or spirited speech will not be tolerated.

I called my Mom earlier today and said, "Mom, these rules are unreasonable. If you would like to host an extended family dinner on ANY OTHER NIGHT between Valentine's Day and Labor Day weekend, we will be happy to attend but, we cannot attend a Thanksgiving under those rules."

She hasn't called back...I picked up a Wegmans catering box today with a turkey, all the trimmings, 3 bottles of wine and a case of beer and texted my Dad the back up plan so, if he wants to watch the game and enjoy himself...he can.

Go. Wear a Redskins jersey. Present a gift of Trump wine. Go directly to the TV and click on to the game. Pull out the cell phone and record your mom going apoplectic.

Wait....let me get this straight..

You're complaining because you want to watch a bunch of niggers in tight pants grab each other, and you're mad at your mom for not wanting it?

News flash: you're a faggot.

If you are in your teens, use the internet.

If you are in your twenties, ask your friends (who'll tell you to grow some balls).

If you are in your thirties, then YOU make the rules. Tell your parents or in-laws that YOU are going to do what YOU wish.

If you are in your forties, then both you and your wife are losers.

Due to the timing how can you agree to No Politics? That's for sissies!! This is immediately post-election. Unless your family has some kind of addiction or problem.. I don't think there should be a no phone rule. Maybe just a no playing games or spending more than a few minutes on your phone rule.

wtf would you do all day under these rules?

Or is this just a new marketing attempt by Wegmans?

Go by for a little bit. Say hi to everyone and then tell them you have to leave because you want to catch the Redskins on at 4:30pm.

This way your Mom looks like the bitch.
