First time voter

I am 26 and have never voted. Can I just drive up and walk in and vote?

I have never registered to vote or been a part of any party.

How does it work?

And don't forget to bring an approved form of ID. If you don't have one, you'll have to cast a provisional ballot and it won't count unless you come back and show ID. Expect McAweful to try and get this overturned before the election so all the illegals can vote.

And like the dude above wrote, don't vote for the corporate whore Hillary.

You can't get a driver's license without registering, your can't drive a car without registering the vehicle, and you can't vote without registering. Deal with it. If you didn't register to vote you could go up to multiple polling places and continue to vote multiple times. That is not how it is done in the U.S.

Also every voter has a special ballot based on your home address. Different members of the local Board of Supervisors, the state House of Delegates & Senators, and the Federal House of Representatives all have different district boundaries for the citizens they represent. You must register to vote so you receive the correct ballot with the exact candidate names that want to represent you in local, state, and federal elections. Got it?

If you don't register to vote you will never be a 'first time voter.'

Since you want to "just walk in" get off your butt from your computer and go register in person in Room 323 at 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA. This is for Fairfax County citizens only.

Detailed info:

"Normal, in person business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Thursday, 8:00 a.m - 7:00 p.m. Please note that office hours are extended for statutory deadlines.

Of course you have to register. Shame on you for not knowing that. If you're not on the voting registry, and yes, they have a copy at your designated polling station, you can't vote.

Wrong. So wrong.

Anyone may vote in Fairfax County. With or without ID. They will collect your vote on a "provisional ballot" and if no one challenges it, your vote will be counted.

All provisional ballots are challenged by the party that loses in a close race. That's why you don't want to go that route.

Whatever you do, be sure to vote YES on the County Meals Tax. Time to get some outside help in paying for all the stuff we need.

wtf?

just want to vote for the POTUS, nothing else

you would think that they would be able to ID someone, let them fucking vote and then THAT PERSON can not vote for POTUS again

so, when you register do you have to choose a "party"?

and

You can't get a driver's license without registering - yes you can

So, OP was too fucking stupid to vote in the prior two Presidential elections. Perhaps, OP was goofing with his pals, or chasing pokemon, or staring at his phone, or just jacking off in the shower.

Did OP just wake up one day at 26 and declare, "I'm involved." It's people like OP that makes me really believe that America is full of morons. Imagine discovering at 26 years old that you can vote.
