Federal prosecutors announced Thursday that they were dropping the case against a man accused of killing Chandra Levy, an intern in Washington, D.C., in 2001.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia said that it believed it could no longer prove the murder case against Ingmar Guandique "beyond a reasonable doubt" and moved to drop the case "based on recent unforeseen developments that were investigated over the past week."

It didn't elaborate.

Everyone know that Lieberal, Condit she was dating did it to shut her up when she demanded he leave his wife or she would expose the affair.

No Statute of Limitations on murder.

Will Con"did-it" be charged? I would imagine her old ass parents are dead by now.

The cops have known since day 1 Condit killed this chick. They spent years trying to find a scapegoat and if I was that wetback, I would be bringing one hell of a lawsuit in the next few days. He will be paid off handsomely.

The reports are that he will be deported as soon as he is released. I wonder why....

Condit wasn't a super rich guy. Who did he pay off or blow?

Something really has seemed fishy about this whole thing since day one but I just don't understand why - if Condit had anything at all to do with this - that the cops wouldn't just nail him for it.

Is Condit really so mega powerful that he has the entire DC Police force working hard to cover up his crimes? Makes no sense. Either there is a whole lot more to this (like maybe there are other powerful political figures w/connections to Levy) or this was just a really strange, random happening.

Bullshit. I've been saying for the past 15 years it was not Condit and it was not Ingmar Guandique. The killer has more or less admitted/bragged about it after the fact and I'm not alone in thinking he did it. He was the last person seen with her. The police know his name and who he is.

I don't understand why the police would nail Ingmar Guandique for this instead of nabbing the "real" killer.

Why would someone frame Guandique for this crime and then help to cover up who really did it?

Theory:

Condit paid a "hit person", someone other than Guandique.

My neighbor was a Camera man for one of the local 3 new stations and told me at the time of the investigation into Condit, that he believed Condit looked "guilty as hell". Of course I know that "looking guilty" may not equal guilty.

However, this camerman worked for decades in DC, often covering Congressional scandals, etc. .. so perhaps he was onto something.

Condit's hired hand?
OR were those responsible the same as those who caused the death of Joyce Chiang, a lawyer, whose badly decompoased body was in the Potomac River and whose wallet was found at the banks of the Anacostia rivier in 1999. No charges were filed against anyone Joyce's case.

Joyce's brother Roger late became the executive in Charge at the television show 'America's Most Wanted'.

Joyce Chiang connection:

"In addition to the Congressional intern connection, Chiang had lived four blocks away from where murder victim Chandra Levy would live, in Dupont Circle. Both were young, brunette women of petite stature. The Starbucks where Chiang was last seen was later frequented by Levy. These similarities have led to various theories that both women were killed by the same person, although the Congressman-in-sex-scandal aspect of Levy's case, coupled with the long time that passed before her body was found, led to more media interest."

Its been a while but I'm thinking that I remembered he was her congressman back in California and he might have helped her get her internship or took an "interest" in the kids from his area that were serving as interns in Washington.

Strange coincidence but wasn't Monica Lewinsky from CA, too?

The same way most politicians meet young tarts. Women, especially young women, are suckers for men in power.

Monica's parents were the largest fundraisers in California for the Clinton's in the 90s. Monica got an internship as a payback. Monica saved the dress with bill's dna at the urging of her mom. She obviously knew the Clinton's tactics well. And this is how the Clinton's treat their friends. Nice.
