The Supreme Court on Monday will take on a case that could torpedo the Obama administration’s controversial executive actions on immigration that have become a flashpoint in the 2016 race.
obama "administraction" (cabinet) issued widespread "national policy" to protect illegals and bus more in
President Barack Obama announced the moves to great fanfare in late 2014, as a response to congressional inaction on immigration reform, but a federal court blocked them after Texas and 25 other states sued.
(prosecution claims obama administration has absolutely no right to pass "policy" as if law that effects the rights and jobs of everyone in the USA (such a thing must be passed through congress - and still subject to 2/3 ratification and or supreme court rejection))
(prosecution claims obama and liberals were using work permits and gov jobs to shield illegals from deportation)
the obama administration decision is however "will be deffered until the lame duck president leaves" - since obama is a lame duck, the next president may change it, and really the policy is not in the Constitutional Charter of the president to be issuing mandamus on to begin with.
(it is not uncommon in USA politics for a parting party to file outrageous laws or mandamus supposedly taking effect after they leave or just before they leave)
