An implant is a whole tooth or a stub with a crown on it.

Its a shame that Obama Care never covered dental work other then cosmetic.

Dentists are all shysters today. Perfect Smile for well off folk and nothing for regular Dental maintenance for poor Working Folk that don't get any welfare bennies..That's where there at. Professionals.??.Over paid gouging Barbers more like it

BTW If your Illegal ...Fairfax County's Health Dept Dental Clinics will fix you right up.. Welcome Welcome Welcome ! . US born citizens ..forget it..Only Welfare Kings and Queens need apply. Low income non welfare Tax Paying working folk , get a string and find a door knob to slam.

Front tooth implant stub + crown was $10k total about a decade ago. I thought I'd have to pay the whole thing but dental insurance finally paid out about 50% since it was an injury and not cosmetic.

About $7k, unless it's #8 or #9. Those cost more like the other poster said.

I had one a few years ago (singe implant with crown), and it was a little less than $3,000 out of pocket with dental insurance.

That had to be a not-visible tooth. The less visible the tooth, the cheaper the cost.

About 5k per tooth. I got what was left of my teeth pulled, 2 studs put in and upper and lower dentures for about 17k.

Do some research about problems associated with dental implants. Often can cause massive infections after about 7 years. They can cause electrical charges. The titanium was found unsafe for pets! People have spent 10"s of thousands only to have them removed because of causing constant severe migraines and other problems.
I'm guessing this industry is going to blow one day. They never told us how unsafe mercury fillings were & quietly have somewhat phased them out.

Dental implants are a "rip off."

The dentist sees you coming and sees dollar signs.$$$$$$$$

Implants are a nuisance....they do not always work for you...then you are at the behest of your dentist...back and forth you visit to make corrections....money, money, money!!!
