Pleasant Valley Roads

So I've noticed there are two Pleasant Valley Roads next to each other, each running southwest off Route 50 in Chantilly. One is on the Loudoun side of the county line and the other is on the Fairfax side. Does anyone know what gives? It seems like a stupid idea to have two Pleasant Valley Roads next to each other.

Thanks for the info. I think we can agree it was a stupid idea to name the "spur" (a left turn really) Pleasant Valley Road. Much appreciated.

The maps show the west spur becomes Blue Spring Dr for awhile.
