Police Officier trained to shoot dogs, whether or not they are chained.

Caught on camera. Police officer tries to shoot dog, til mom steps in front of the gun. Mom gets thrown to the ground and arrested. Dog survives.

In court, the cop testifies that he is trained to shoot dogs, whether or not they are chained.

Is this true in Fairfax County or with Virginia State police?

Scary.

The cops then entered the home and took away all the cell phones and cameras.

Uh oh.

Okay, is this true? How can the police justify shooting a dog, especially if it is a harmless fluffy breed like shih tzu or maltese? This is upsetting to say the least.

More info please.......

Okay, thank you Causeican. I will own up to skimming this thread and feeling upset and I did not read it as carefully as I should have. I assumed, when I read the title of this thread, that it related to Fairfax County.

My dog is a small breed and is very harmless and I will watch my friend's small dog when she travels for work. Her dog is really harmless.

Another cop corrupted with power. Disgusting. Kill my dog and i will kill you, and make it infinitely more painful. Don't care what anyone thinks, that's how it goes.

Don't think I'll do it? Just fucking try me

Seems like this cop went from varsity football straight into the state police.

Don't have a problem with either of those, until they start playing Rambo, because they were too chickenshit to enlist.

Like a bunch of Fairfax cops.

Hey boyo....you ever get tough with me, I'll show you a few tricks I picked up in Iraq and Afghanistan.

+ 100 ^^^

You want to act like you're an occupying army? There's 100X more of us than there are of you. Some of us are better armed than you are. Don't let your ego write a check you aren't man enough to cash.

everybody is tough guy on the internet

Why don't you guys realize it's the jews who control it all, all your military dies for Israel. You guys are the biggest sellouts notice how white girls go to black men it's because they promote race mixing. Does anybody actually believe that public opinion influences the government? It makes sense that the most sheltered people in the world would be the ones in one of the richest areas in the country

When you receive information from the news media, try stretching your brain to get a broader perspective. Be objective; openminded. It may take practice, but you'll get the hang of it pretty quick, I’m sure.

I believe the cop was responding to a domestic dispute. Considering the type of violence which can erupt from those situations, it isn’t hard to understand the training. The cop needs to give full attention to saving the lives of the family, the neighbors and himself. Don’t you agree they come before the dog? The cop is not Superman. He cannot fend off a dog without risking the lives of people.

What I don’t understand is how the media cannot understand or why they chose to further berate the profession of these civil servants.

I'm sure the police procedures manual states that when responding to a domestic dispute you should shoot the dog first in order to take control of the situation.

And, as in the video, if an unarmed female stands between your gun and the dog, take her down with force.

It's all part of the serve and protect thingy.

"i will destroy you if you hurt my dog"

some people are obsessed with their animals, using them as a scapegoat from reality

also called "avoidance syndrom", avoiding doing the work they know they should be doing in the name of "caring for their pet"

like an addiction thing, I guess. Makes sense. Why else take a dog in the store with you?
